Florida Music is sponsoring the Bay County Orchestra Program. The BCOP is an opportunity for all musicians to have a professional orchestral experience whether they are beginners or experienced – strings, brass, woodwinds, and percussion. BCOP consists of two orchestras – 1) Mozart Orchestra is an introductory orchestra for those that have been playing their instruments for at least one year. It will teach young musicians about basic orchestral music as well as how to follow a conductor and play in a larger ensemble. 2) Gulf Coast Community Orchestra is for more experienced musicians who have played in an orchestra before or have been in the Mozart Orchestra for one year. It is open to all ages – age 12 to adult.

BCOP will meet once a week on Mondays following the Bay County Academic Calendar. The Mozart Orchestra will meet at 3:30pm – 5:00pm. ***** The Community Orchestra will meet at 5:30pm – 7:00pm.

FEE – One-time registration fee – $ 35. Monthly fee – $50 (Ages 12 – 17). Monthly fees are the same each month regardless of how many rehearsals in a month.

No monthly fee for ages 18 and up.

Florida Music is a direct provider for Step Up For Students scholarships. Look up Florida Music in the list of providers and then put an order in for Florida Music music lessons prior to the start of that month’s rehearsals. For instance, for September rehearsals, you can put the order in for Florida Music music lessons September rehearsals for $ 85.
